BIOCHEM - Sorry for the delay. I now understand "internet issues" can be a viable excuse. I am finally able to upload info to the blog.
Here is the virtual lab. If you have some time today to do it, awesome. If not, please spend class time tomorrow working on it. My goal is that it reinforces the concepts of weak/strong acids and bases involving strength vs. concentration. You may consult your notes, a text on the bookshelf in the back of the room or the google. However, just looking up the answers online will not reinforce the concepts the way the simulation would.
Please download/print the following two documents:
Acid/Base Investigation 1
Acid/Base Investigation 2
The simulation is directly to the right on the blog. In the lower right hand corner is a menu box that allows you to make it full screen.
You are required to due Investigation 1. Investigation 2 will be extra credit. The extra credit, if done properly, will drop your lowest quiz score for the 2nd trimester.
You have two methods to turn this in. One, print it, fill it out and make sure it is on my desk in my office before the end of the day tomorrow. Two, do the same thing, but scan/email it me if you are worried it will get lost in the sea of papers on my desk. Again, by the end of the school day tomorrow.

Lab Questions and Quiz Reminder
Here is the link to the lab questions. They are due at the START OF CLASS on Monday. Use your data, your knowledge of chemistry, your notes, whatever helps, to answer the questions. If you need more room, use a separate shape of paper.
Also, reminder that there will be a short quiz on:
Predicting products/balancing Neutralization Reactions
Naming/Writing Formulas for Acids and Bases
